FAQ
Questions worth asking first.
If something here is not covered, email support@orlanai.com and a person will reply within one business day.
- Does the lead know they are texting an AI?
- Yes, if they ask. Orlan identifies itself as your assistant and never claims to be a person. It does not pretend to be you.
- Can it invent a price or make up details about a property?
- No, and this is enforced rather than requested. Orlan may only state facts present in the listing data you provide. If a lead asks something it was not given — square footage, HOA fees, tax amounts — it says you will confirm and follow up, instead of guessing.
- What happens if someone texts in the middle of the night?
- The reply is held until a legal texting hour in that lead's own state and time zone, then delivered the next morning. Quiet-hours rules vary by state; Orlan applies them automatically.
- How does someone stop receiving messages?
- Replying STOP opts them out immediately and permanently. HELP returns our support contact. Both are handled the moment the message arrives.
- When does a real person get involved?
- When the lead asks to speak to someone, wants to make an offer, requests a showing, or raises anything legal or financial. Orlan stops and alerts you with the whole conversation.
- Is this just an auto-responder?
- No. An auto-responder sends the same line to everyone. Orlan answers the specific question asked using your listing data, remembers what the lead already told it, and does not repeat itself across a conversation.
- Do I need a new phone number?
- Orlan replies from a dedicated business texting number registered for A2P 10DLC, which is what mobile carriers require for business messaging. Your personal number stays private.
- What does it cost to try?
- There is a 14-day trial. See pricing for current plans.
